Stephanie Beth Gokhman is a first year PhD student in the Human Centered Design & Engineering department at the University of Washington. Stephanie is currently working in the Communicative Practices Lab with Mark Zachry and David McDonald on a project involving social translucence in peer-based commons production, specifically Wikipedia. She is also a member of Charlotte Lee's research group in the Computer-Supported Collaboration Lab.

Previously Stephanie received a B.A. in Information Technology & Informatics at Rutgers University's School of Communication, Information & Library Science. After which, Stephanie worked in industry as a Python/Django developer for an Internet subsidiary of Newhouse Publications and earned a Mini-Masters in Human-Computer Interaction at Rutgers University's College of Engineering Advanced Technology Extension.

Stephanie's interests are in collaboration and collaborative technologies, cyberinfrastructure, CSCW, peer-based commons production, communities of practice/interest, and knowledge organizations.
