Graduate Student
Information School
I am a PhD student in the Information School at the University of Washington, advised by Prof Andrew J. Ko and Prof Jacob O. Wobbrock . I was recently awarded Canada's Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Doctoral Award.

My current research focus is on understanding and supporting user-developer communication and designing a web-based help tool that utilizes crowdsourced context. I will also be exploring techniques for capturing the large-scale help-request data and using it to support software maintenance decisions.

In other projects, I have investigated usability practices in complex domains and looked at the implications for training the next generation of usability professionals. I have also worked on a number of projects involving the design and evaluation of software in biomedicine.

I am currently a member of the AIM Research Group . Previously, I had research assistant positions with the Biomedical Informatics Core of the Institute of Translational Health Sciences and also with the Center for Public Health Informatics at the University of Washington.
