I am a third-year grad student in the University of Washington Computer Science and Engineering Department. I have worked on the Classroom Presenter project since 2006. Classroom Presenter is a Tablet PC-based classroom interaction system, and while I have worked on the code-base, my primary contributions to this project focus on effective pedagogy for using Classroom Presenter.

My primary research interests at this point are in the area of educational technology for developing regions. In particular, I am interested in investigating techniques and technologies for providing support to the facilitators of Tutored Video Instruction deployments. Tutored Video Instruction is a methodology whereby classes are recorded and these recordings are then shown to a group of students by a semi-skilled facilitator. During an internship at Microsoft Research India I worked with the Digital Green project to increase interactivity in their video sessions (From the DG website, follow the 'Annotations' link).
